Challenge
Jefferson Health sought to create a new image in the growing Navy Yard and South Philadelphia area of Philadelphia. As residential and corporate growth continues in the Navy Yard, the need for convenient primary and specialty care become the focus of this full building renovation.
Solution
Four floors of adaptable, flexible exam and treatment space to accommodate a variety of outpatient services in one stop, including a retail pharmacy and classrooms. Diagnostic imaging, women’s and men’s health clinics, and a robust tele-health program called Jeff Connect to allow patients to meet with any specialist across the Jefferson Health Network.
Result
Expanding services now provides academic medical center-affiliated physician access in a section of the City previously underserved. The welcoming space includes light-filled work and waiting areas with views toward Center City. Ample parking is available, positively affecting patient access.
