Challenge
Always striving to exceed their internal Total Health Environment edicts, Kaiser Permanente needed new lease space for busy primary and specialty care practices in downtown Baltimore. Choosing a historic building with convenient parking and upgraded mechanical systems, ADA upgrades and an overall ‘presence’ were necessary facets of the design.
Solution
The team began the endeavor with a facilities assessment to confirm not only the current program would fit optimally, but that there would be infrastructure available to expand and offer new, desirable services.
Result
A one-stop shop, including full retail pharmacy and imaging services, now welcomes patients to a naturally-lit, spacious and accessible multi-disciplinary physician practice space.
