Array Architects announced today the hire of Nsenga Bansfield-Maathey as Director, Healthcare Planning in the firm’s NYC studio. Bansfield-Maathey brings to the role over 25 years’ experience leading planning on complex healthcare designs and major projects.

Joining a dynamic planning team led by Stang, Bansfield-Maathey assumes a new role at the firm. As Director of Healthcare Planning, she will serve the firm’s growing client base and be responsible for regional leadership advancing planning services in coordination with the firm’s Practice Area Leader of Planning and Northeast Regional Vice President.
Bansfield-Maathey arrives at a time of considerable growth for Array’s NYC studio. Within the last year, the core team of experienced, talented and dedicated leaders in the region have expanded to include the following additions:

Beyond her track record of healthcare planning excellence, Bansfield-Maathey also serves as an industry leader promoting health equity in healthcare architecture and design. Her thought leadership on addressing racial disparities in healthcare has been featured in Fast Company, The Center for Health Design, and AIA Knowledge Net. A graduate of Cornell University, Bansfield-Maathey has seized mentorship opportunities in her field through higher education, volunteering as a student advisor and serving as a career discussion panelist.
