Array Architects is pleased to announce the hire of Maureen Carley-Vallejo, IIDA, NCIDQ, to the firm’s New York City studio. Carley-Vallejo is an award-winning industry leader with over 30 years’ experience. She will lead, grow, and mentor the firm’s interior design team in New York City while providing a seamless design experience to Array’s clients.

Carley-Vallejo has received a litany of prestigious awards in her career. She was named Healthcare Design’s 2016 Designer of the Year, and her work has been selected for Interior Design’s Best of the Year awards, AIA’s Healthcare Design Award, and IIDA’s Healthcare Environment Award – among others. Her robust creative approach has led several publications to seek out her thought leadership, including Interior Design, Interiors, Hospitality Design, Contract and Healthcare Design magazines. Carley-Vallejo’s approach focuses on human-centered design, sensitivity to details, and consideration of how each interior environment affects the people who use the space.
Carley-Vallejo’s arrival comes at a time of growth for Array Architects in the New York City region. The firm’s client list in the region includes some of the most recognized health systems in Manhattan, including New York Presbyterian, Northwell Health, Mount Sinai, Weill Cornell, Columbia Doctors, and NYC Health + Hospitals to name a few. Some of Array’s notable current work in New York includes an innovative, forward-looking expansion for the Children’s Hospital of New York, complex overbuilds, a wide-reaching master plan for one of the largest health systems in the region, and a renovation of the world class Och-Spine Center at Weill Cornell Medical Center.
