Challenge
Seeing their emergency patient volume increase, the VA turned to Array to assist with an expansion that would provide a “benchmark” ED within the Veterans Affairs system.
Solution
Recognizing that the client’s scope for this project exceeded their available budget, Array developed a phasing solution that would meet the VA’s goals for a world-class ED while maintaining ongoing operations in adjacent areas.
Result
The 25,000 SF expansion improves patient through-put, enhances the patient and visitor experience and provides the VA with a guideline for future ED design.
