Located in Hudson Yards, Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian/The Spiral reflects a bold vision for outpatient spinal care: a one-stop destination that merges convenience, innovation, and aesthetic sophistication. Working closely with NewYork-Presbyterian, Array Architects translated the health system’s ambitious vision into a one-of-a-kind specialty center that reflects the program’s clinical excellence and its well-established reputation as a national leader in spine care.
The project integrates a high-performance healthcare environment into a multi-tenant commercial tower designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), showcasing both innovation and adaptability. From stress-reducing imaging suites and calming patient lounges to concierge-inspired changing rooms and a decentralized, flexible care model, the facility transforms a dense Manhattan footprint into a welcoming destination for spine treatment.

Och Spine at NewYork-Prebysterian/The Spiral is the third project in Array’s ongoing partnership with the client to formalize a cohesive, branded experience across the health system’s growing network of spine care centers. The design defines a flexible and recognizable language—rooted in comfort, clarity, and clinical precision—that adapts to place while reinforcing the Och Spine identity.
On July 16th, Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian/The Spiral also earned a 2025 AMFP Greater New York Project Award – Excellence in Healthcare Remote Outpatient Facility Design. The honor recognizes excellence in healthcare planning and design execution.
