For immediate release—Washington, DC – The 3rd annual Mind the Gap event will gather students, DC-based firms, educators, and industry professionals for a complimentary opportunity to explore healthcare design. Featuring a panel discussion, career fair, and networking opportunities, the event is hosted by Array Architects and will be held at the Herman Miller Showroom on Saturday, April 6th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
“Mind the Gap represents an enormous opportunity for students to bridge the divide between what they learn in college and what goes on in a professional design environment,” Alex Berman, Array Architects’ DC Studio Director said. “It gives students a chance to have their portfolio reviewed by some of DC’s top design firms, not to mention getting an inside look at healthcare design, an often-overlooked and incredibly fulfilling design focus.”
Speakers at the event will represent an abundance of local firms, including Array Architects, Herman Miller, Cumming Corporation, Perkins+Will, Walden Studio Architects, HITT Contracting, Inc., Children’s National Health System, and Forrester Construction.
