With aging infrastructure, landlocked facilities and physician office leases set to expire, Wheaton turned to Array to assist with decanting strategies for their downtown locations and the design of a new outpatient facility.
Following intensive programming to determine project size, we assisted in the site selection for a new 250,000 SF “hospital without beds.” Designed with single-stop healthcare in mind, the fourth floor of the facility features five operating suites, each sized to accommodate emerging technologies.
Designed, built and occupied in only 18 months, the new Ambulatory Care Center attracted enough new patients to expedite a planned addition. Additionally, patient satisfactions scores improved significantly, as did the System’s revenue stream.
