CHALLENGE
To meet the growing demand for Imaging services and the newest technology, Montefiore Medical Center needed to invest across campuses and outpatient facilities. We faced the challenge of working on various facilities and buildings, with diverse infrastructure systems and site restrictions. In addition, the involvement of numerous equipment vendors and consultants required full coordination with Montefiore’s clinical team and their vision for each project.
SOLUTION
As a trusted advisor to this large urban system, we leveraged information gathered for other projects to determine the optimal locations for services as well as provided input on how to distribute the technology across campuses to bring the service line into alignment. Through various planning exercises and in-depth involvement and coordination between Array, Montefiore’s staff, the clinical team, equipment vendors, Audio/Visual vendors, MEP, structural and expediting consultants, we were able to design spaces that enhance both staff workflow and patient care. Keeping departments operational was key, and this was kept at the forefront of every phasing decision.
RESULT
In a fast-tracked process, we were able to provide the client and their constituents with the necessary Imaging services. Now able to offer more appointments at convenient locations, Montefiore has seen an increase in patient loyalty and return visits.
