Challenge
After the completion of a new research tower, the Institute and its partners desired a consolidation and relocation laboratory and office space into the Center for Advancement of Genomics.
Solution
Collaboration with researchers, facilities staff and the Institute’s president to align department consolidations with planned services coming online in the new building enabled phased relocations. A unified team of more than 375 researchers will advance the science of genomics in a cross-specialty environment.
Results
Teaching, training and research all benefit from this new space, which knits together scientists and staff from across several campus buildings to one cohesive, collaborative space.
