Leadership Transition Advances Array’s Strategic Initiatives

Array advanced its management transition strategy when they announced recent leadership changes. At their January meeting, the firm’s Board of Directors unanimously extended Carl Davis’ current term as President and CEO, allowing him to continue his focus on strategic initiatives. The Board also realigned the roles of two current leaders – George Shmidheiser and Adrian Hagerty – providing them the capacity to advance important firm-wide initiatives as well. Shmidheiser, Array’s Chief Operating Officer since 2005, will assume the new post of Practice Leader, Project Operations, while Hagerty, Array’s National Capital Regional Vice President since 2013, steps into the COO position. As CEO, Davis will continue to focus on the firm initiatives which differentiate Array while enhancing the firm’s value proposition to its clients, including the firm’s emerging Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, Pivotal. Davis has led the development of Pivotal through its analytics arm – Array Analytics – since its inception in 2016. Pivotal is currently being market tested and available under its Lighthouse Program.

With Adrian Hagerty in the role of Chief Operating Officer in the DC office, Array is meeting its commitment to spread its leadership roles across all offices. Hagerty’s emphasis will be staff/project alignment, staff mentoring and talent acquisition. Alex Berman, an engagement manager in Array’s Washington, DC office, will assume Adrian’s role as Studio Director, continuing the solid leadership established by Hagerty when he expanded the firm into DC in 2013. Berman will continue the strong project leadership and staff mentoring that has become a hallmark of the firm’s National Capital office.

Shmidheiser’s role for the last 13 years has grown to include project management oversight and alignment of project delivery strategies across all offices. With the creation of the role of Practice Leader, Project Operations, Shmidheiser will continue his focus on making project management at Array a center of excellence. Array feels that these leadership changes allows them to continue delivering on their mission of providing remarkable, strategy-driven, business-justified solutions to the firm’s healthcare clients.
